The Newton Tigers (Newton, MS) basketball crushed the visiting Forest Bearcats (Forest, MS), 42-16 in Friday's non-league test.
The Tigers (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Philadelphia (Philadelphia, MS). The Tornadoes go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Philadelphia was trounced by McAdams (McAdams, MS), 46-41, in a non-league test.
The Bearcats now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Kosciusko for a non-league test on Saturday, December 9.
