Goodrich Hornets (Goodrich, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hull-Daisetta Bobcats (Daisetta, TX), 40-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Goodrich upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Hornets travel to Chester (Chester, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Chester lost 46-16 in their recent non-league bout against Onalaska (Onalaska, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Leggett Pirates (Leggett, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Hull-Daisetta will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
