The Kemper County Wildcats basketball team (DeKalb, MS), was nudged 42-38 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Heidelberg Oilers (Heidelberg, MS)
The Oilers now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Collins for a 2A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, December 12.
The Wildcats (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Newton County (Decatur, MS). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Newton County was nudged by Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS), 81-21, in a non-league battle.
