Mason City Mohawks (Mason City, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA), 44-10 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mason City upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Mohawks host Gilbert (Gilbert, IA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Gilbert lost 69-24 in their recent league bout against North Polk (Alleman, IA)

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Lincoln Railsplitters (Des Moines, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Marshalltown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Railsplitters go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 65-62 league win over Hoover (Des Moines, IA).
