Midland Mustangs (Pleasant Plains, AR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Marvell Mustangs (Marvell, AR), 2-0 in a league bout.

With the win, Midland upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Mustangs host Bradford (Bradford, AR) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region 5 bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Bradford lost 60-56 in their recent league bout against Augusta (Augusta, AR)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Brinkley Tigers (Brinkley, AR) in a 1A Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Marvell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 42-37 league loss to Clarendon (Clarendon, AR).
