North Carolina High School Basketball - Mountain Heritage knocked off by Watauga

December 8, 2023: Burnsville, NC 28714

The Watauga Pioneers basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Mountain Heritage Cougars to 43 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Pioneers now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Reagan for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Watauga will battle a Raiders team coming off a 58-41 non-league win over South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 4-3.

The Cougars (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Pisgah was defeated by Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 44-36, in a non-league contest.
