The Starkville Academy Volunteers basketball team (Starkville, MS), was routed 65-40 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Pillow Academy Mustangs (Greenwood, MS)
The Mustangs now sport a 11-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Simpson Academy for a non-league battle on Monday, December 11. Pillow Academy will battle a Cougars team coming off a 70-23 league win over Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 9-6.
The Volunteers (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Smithville (Smithville, MS). The Seminoles come into the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Smithville trounced Tupelo Christian Prep (Belden, MS), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
