North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashe County knocked off by West Wilkes

The West Wilkes Blackhawks basketball team scored 42 points and held the host Ashe County Huskies to 33 in the Blackhawks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Blackhawks now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elkin for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. West Wilkes will battle a Buckin' Elks team coming off a 37-17 non-league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Buckin' Elks record now stands at 4-2.
The Huskies (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Starmount was defeated by West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC), 50-47, in a non-league contest.
