McCormick Chiefs (McCormick, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Dixie Hornets (Due West, SC), 37-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McCormick upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Chiefs host Fox Creek (North Augusta, SC) to clash with the Predators in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Predators go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Fox Creek won 43-38 in their recent non-league bout against Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Southside Christian Sabres (Simpsonville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Dixie will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
