North Carolina High School Basketball - Watauga thwarts Mountain Heritage

The Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) basketball knocked off the host Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC), 58-39 in Friday's non-league test.
The Pioneers (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Reagan (Pfafftown, NC). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 5-0 record. In their last test, Reagan notched a victory over North Surry (Mount Airy, NC), 74-31, in a non-league test.
The Cougars now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host Pisgah for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 12. Mountain Heritage will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 46-35 non-league win over Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 3-1.
