Massachusetts High School Ice Hockey - Thayer Academy holds off Governor's Academy

In Sunday's league contest, the visiting Thayer Academy Tigers ice hockey team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Governor's Academy Governors.
The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Phillips Academy (Andover, MA). The Big Blue go into the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Phillips Academy edged Albany Academy for Boys (Albany, NY), 4-1, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Governors play the Belmont Hill Sextants (Belmont, MA) in a contest, on Wednesday, December 11. Governor's Academy will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The Sextants go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 4-0 league loss to Noble & Greenough (Dedham, MA).
