The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Skyline Vikings (Scottsboro, AL) and the visiting Columbia Eagles (Huntsville, AL), witnessed Skyline's basketball squad hold off Columbia by a count of 53-50.
With the victory, Skyline advances its record to 5-0 on the year. The Vikings travel to Ider (Ider, AL) to meet the Hornets in a 1A Area 16 battle on Tuesday, December 9. The Hornets enter the battle with a record of 7-4. Ider won 70-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Ranburne (Ranburne, AL)
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats (Huntsville, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 9. Columbia will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 0-6 record after their 39-36 league loss to West Limestone (Lester, AL).
