Ohio High School Basketball - South Central thwarts Mapleton

The South Central Trojans (Greenwich, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH), 58-47 in Thursday's league contest.

The Trojans now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Plymouth for a Firelands contest on Saturday, December 11. South Central will battle a Big Red team coming off a 55-40 league loss to Western Reserve (Collins, OH). The Big Red record now stands at 0-2.

The Mounties (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rittman (Rittman, OH). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Rittman was defeated by Northwestern (West Salem, OH), 86-54, in a league contest.
