The Surry County Cougars basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons to 25 in the Cougars league victory on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denbigh Baptist Christian for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Surry County will battle a Minutemen team coming off a 45-38 non-league win over Isle of Wight Academy (Isle of Wight, VA). The Minutemen record now stands at 4-1.

The Dragons (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Charles City (Charles City, VA). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Charles City was routed by Mathews (Mathews, VA), 77-60, in a league contest.
