Varsity Opponent (, ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Arlington Heights Christian Lions (Corpus Christi, TX), 59-17 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Varsity Opponent upgrades its record to 109-397 on the season. The host Dayspring Academy (Greenbrier, TN) to play the Shires in a Division II-A Middle District 4 bout on Friday, December 9. The Shires go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Dayspring Academy lost 79-64 in their recent non-league bout against United Christian Academy (Hartsville, TN)

Next up, the Lions play the Varsity Opponent (, ) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Arlington Heights Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
