Arkansas High School Basketball - Smackover knocked off by Bearden

The Bearden Bears basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting Smackover Buckaroos to 57 in the Bears non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bears now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Emerson for a 1A Region 8 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Bearden will battle a Pirates team coming off a 57-54 league loss to Strong (Strong, AR). The Pirates record now stands at 3-9.
The Buckaroos (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against DeWitt (DeWitt, AR). The Dragons enter the 3A Region 8 contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, DeWitt was defeated by Dumas (Dumas, AR), 64-35, in a league contest.
