Loyola Blakefield Dons (Towson, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Boys Latin Lakers (Baltimore, MD), 49-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Loyola Blakefield upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Dons host Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Archbishop Spalding won 71-52 in their recent non-league bout against Friendship Tech Prep Academy (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Lakers play the St. James Saints (Hagerstown, MD) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Boys Latin will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Saints go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 68-48 non-league loss to Governor Thomas Johnson (Frederick, MD).
