In Friday's league outing, the Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) basketball squad felled the visiting Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA), by a margin of 68-54.

The Bobcats (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA). The Rebels go into the non-league outing with a 1-5 record. In their last outing, Fannin County was beaten by Model (Rome, GA), 54-40, in a league outing.

The Tigers now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Pickens for a AAA Region 7 outing on Tuesday, December 13. Dawson County will clash with a Dragons squad coming off a 62-55 non-league win over Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA). The Dragons record now stands at 4-2.
