Lopez Lobos (Brownsville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Harlingen Cardinals (Harlingen, TX), 45-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lopez upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Lobos host Mission (Mission, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Mission lost 56-50 in their recent non-league bout against Mercedes (Mercedes, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Harlingen will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Rattlers go into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 48-43 non-league loss to Weslaco (Weslaco, TX).
