Mineral Point Pointers (Mineral Point, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Iowa-Grant Panthers (Livingston, WI), 54-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Mineral Point upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Pointers travel to Prairie du Chien (Prairie du Chien, WI) to clash with the Blackhawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Prairie du Chien lost 47-35 in their recent non-league bout against Fennimore (Fennimore, WI)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Potosi Chieftains (Potosi, WI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Iowa-Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Chieftains go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 63-42 league win over Cassville (Cassville, WI).
