North Carolina High School Basketball - Madison can't hold off Tuscola

The Tuscola Mountaineers basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Madison Patriots to 49 in the Mountaineers non-league victory on Friday.

The Mountaineers now sport a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Franklin for a 3A Conference 54 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Tuscola will battle a Panthers team coming off a 43-40 non-league loss to Rabun County (Tiger, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-1.

The Patriots (0-6) will now prepare for their contest against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers come into the 1A/2A Conference 42 contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Mitchell edged Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN), 48-40, in a non-league contest.
