Ohio High School Basketball - Wellston can't hold off Meigs

The Meigs Marauders basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Wellston Golden Rockets to 46 in the Marauders league victory on Friday.

The Marauders now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nelsonville-York for a Tri-Valley I contest on Tuesday, December 13. Meigs will battle a Buckeyes team coming off a 54-50 non-league loss to Amanda-Clearcreek (Amanda, OH). The Buckeyes record now stands at 4-2.

The Golden Rockets (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Alexander (Albany, OH). The Spartans come into the Tri-Valley I contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Alexander was nudged by Vinton County (McArthur, OH), 51-48, in a league contest.
