The Mercer County Golden Eagles basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the host ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars to 44 in the Golden Eagles league victory on Friday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Macomb for a non-league contest on Monday, December 12. Mercer County will battle a Bombers team coming off a 58-43 non-league win over Kewanee (Kewanee, IL). The Bombers record now stands at 5-1.

The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Midland (Varna, IL). The Timberwolves come into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Midland prevailed over Dwight (Dwight, IL), 74-51, in a league contest.
