Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Moline Maroons (Moline, IL) and the host Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL), saw Moline's basketball team trounce Rock Island by a tally of 78-40.

The Maroons now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rockridge for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 13. Moline will battle a Rockets team coming off a 63-34 league win over Orion (Orion, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 4-1.

The Rocks (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Normal Community (Normal, IL). The Ironmen come into the non-league battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Normal Community was overwhelmed by Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL), 73-44, in a non-league battle.
