Penn Wood Patriots (Lansdowne, PA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Norristown Eagles (Norristown, PA), 54-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Penn Wood upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Paul Robeson (Philadelphia, PA) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 4-2. Paul Robeson won 66-30 in their recent league bout against High School of the Future (Philadelphia, PA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Neshaminy Redskins (Langhorne, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Norristown will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Redskins come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 55-35 league win over Pennsbury (Fairless Hills, PA).
