Oakmont Regional Spartans (Ashburnham, MA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Quabbin Regional Panthers (Barre, MA), 85-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Oakmont Regional upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host Groton-Dunstable (Groton, MA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Panthers play the Gardner Wildcats (Gardner, MA) in a Midland-Wachusett C bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Quabbin Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 91-29 non-league win over Narragansett Regional (Baldwinville, MA).
