Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) and the host Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), saw Pisgah's basketball squad knock off Smoky Mountain by a count of 84-76.

With the victory, Pisgah upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Bears host Brevard (Brevard, NC) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Brevard won 73-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Erwin (Asheville, NC)

Next up, the Mustangs play the North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC) in a 3A Conference 54 challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Smoky Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 58-56 league loss to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC).
