The Van Meter Bulldogs basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Pleasantville Trojans to 34 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Madrid for a West Central contest on Tuesday, December 13. Van Meter will battle a Tigers team coming off a 79-46 league win over Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-2.

The Trojans (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Lynnville-Sully ran past North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA), 65-62, in a league contest.
