The West Chargers basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds to 51 in the Chargers league triumph on Friday.
The Chargers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lansing for a Kaw Valley contest on Tuesday, December 13. West will battle a Lions team coming off a 57-53 non-league win over Turner (Kansas City, KS). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.
The Thunderbirds (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Basehor-Linwood (Basehor, KS). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Basehor-Linwood ran past West (Topeka, KS), 58-52, in a league contest.
