Texas High School Basketball - Chapin nips Burges

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chapin Huskies (El Paso, TX) and the visiting Burges Mustangs (El Paso, TX), saw Chapin's basketball squad hold off Burges by a tally of 39-33.

With the victory, Chapin improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Canutillo (Canutillo, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A Region I District 1 challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Canutillo lost 56-35 in their recent league challenge against Andress (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the El Paso Tigers (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Burges will attempt to improve on its 15-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 53-9 league win over Jefferson (El Paso, TX).
