Texas High School Basketball - Burkeville ripped by Leggett

The Leggett Pirates basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Burkeville Mustangs to 26 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chester for a 1A Region IV District 28 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Leggett will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 29-16 non-league loss to Cushing (Cushing, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-3.
The Mustangs (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against High Island (High Island, TX). The Cardinals enter the 1A Region IV District 28 contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, High Island triumphed over Bob Hope (Port Arthur, TX), 43-24, in a non-league contest.
