The Caldwell Hornets basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Snook Bluejays to 44 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Smithville for a 4A Region III District 22 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Caldwell will meet a Tigers team coming off a 69-45 non-league loss to Flatonia (Flatonia, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-9.

The Bluejays (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Marlin (Marlin, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 4-6 record.
