McNeil Mavericks (Austin, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cedar Ridge Raiders (Round Rock, TX), 49-43 in a league bout.

With the win, McNeil upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Manor (Manor, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, December 16. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 10-7.

Next up, the Raiders play the Vista Ridge Rangers (Cedar Park, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout, on Friday, December 16. Cedar Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 58-53 league win over Round Rock (Round Rock, TX).
