California High School Basketball - Grant topped by Chavez

The Chavez Eagles basketball team scored 27 points and restricted the visiting Grant Lancers to 18 in the Eagles league victory on Friday.
The Eagles now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monroe for a East Valley contest on Monday, December 12. Chavez will battle a Vikings team coming off a 61-22 league loss to Grant (Van Nuys, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 0-3.
The Lancers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Arleta (Arleta, CA). The Mustangs come into the East Valley contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Arleta prevailed over Marshall (Los Angeles, CA), 48-31, in a non-league contest.
