Kilgore Bulldogs (Kilgore, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cumberland Academy Knights (Tyler, TX), 27-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kilgore upgrades its record to 1-6 on the season. The Bulldogs host Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Region III District 17 bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Chapel Hill won 52-31 in their recent non-league bout against Grapevine (Grapevine, TX)

Next up, the Knights play the Van Vandals (Van, TX) in a 4A Region II District 16 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Cumberland Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record. The Vandals go into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 65-30 non-league win over Episcopal School of Dallas (Dallas, TX).
