In Friday's non-league outing, the East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC), by a margin of 44-35.
The Gators (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Wolfpack go into the 1A/2A Conference 5 outing with a 2-3 record.
The Leopards now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Midway for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 13. Lakewood will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 50-21 non-league win over Harnett Central (Angier, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 4-2.
