Hodgdon Hawks (Hodgdon, ME) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME), 77-22 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hodgdon upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Hawks host Washburn (Washburn, ME) to play the Beavers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Beavers come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Owls play the Fort Fairfield Tigers (Fort Fairfield, ME) in a C North bout, on Friday, December 16. Madawaska will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
