In Friday's non-league outing, the Lee Generals (Montgomery, AL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Lanier Poets (Montgomery, AL), by a margin of 44-14.
The Generals (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Jefferson Davis (Montgomery, AL). The Volunteers go into the 7A Area 3 outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, Jefferson Davis was trounced by Carver Montgomery (Montgomery, AL), 63-29, in a league outing.
The Poets now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Pike Road for a non-league outing on Friday, December 16. Lanier will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 55-29 non-league win over Autaugaville (Autaugaville, AL). The Patriots record now stands at 2-3.
