McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 70-5 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McDowell upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Titans host T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC) to play the Rams in a 3A/4A Conference 53 bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 5-2. T.C. Roberson lost 31-26 in their recent non-league bout against Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 14. R-S Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
