Texas High School Basketball - Westfield nips Spring

Westfield Mustangs (Houston, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Spring Lions (Spring, TX), 53-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Westfield upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Dekaney (Houston, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 6A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-13. Dekaney lost 46-12 in their recent non-league bout against Foster (Richmond, TX)

Next up, the Lions play the Benjamin Davis Falcons (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region II District 14 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Spring will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 48-37 league loss to Aldine (Houston, TX).
