The East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) basketball nipped the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 44-43 in Friday's non-league test.

The Cavaliers (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league test with a 3-2 record.

The Wildcats now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patton for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 14.
