In Friday's league test, the visiting Portsmouth Patriots ice hockey team scored a tight 6-1 win over the Narragansett Mariners.

The Patriots (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI). The Chieftains enter the Division 2 test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Ponaganset held off Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI), 12-0, in a league test.

Next up, the Mariners encounter the South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) in a non-league test, on Friday, December 23. Narragansett will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record.
