In Friday's league challenge, the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) ice hockey team bounced the visiting Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI), by a margin of 12-0.

The Chieftains now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Portsmouth for a Division 2 challenge on Sunday, December 11. Ponaganset will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Narragansett (Narragansett, RI). The Patriots record now stands at 1-1.

The Huskies (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Chargers enter the Division 2 challenge with a 0-0 record.
