Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), 48-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Martinsville upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host George Washington (Danville, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-1. George Washington won 50-35 in their recent non-league bout against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Patrick County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 44-36 non-league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
