North Carolina High School Basketball - Topsail can't hold off South Brunswick

The South Brunswick Cougars basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Topsail Pirates to 35 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hoggard for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 13. South Brunswick will battle a Vikings team coming off a 61-54 non-league loss to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 3-1.

The Pirates (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, North Brunswick was nudged by New Hanover (Wilmington, NC), 53-35, in a non-league contest.
