Benton Panthers (Benton, AR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mountain Home Bombers (Mountain Home, AR), 66-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Benton upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to El Dorado (El Dorado, AR) to play the Wildcats in a 5A South bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 1-4. El Dorado lost 75-51 in their recent non-league bout against Neville (Monroe, LA)

Next up, the Bombers play the Rogers Mountaineers (Rogers, AR) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Mountain Home will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Mountaineers come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 65-51 non-league loss to Conway (Conway, AR).
