Nebraska High School Basketball - Gretna East tops Burke

December 9, 2023: Omaha, NE 68154

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Gretna East Griffins (Gretna, NE) and the host Burke Bulldogs (Omaha, NE), saw Gretna East's basketball squad knock off Burke by a count of 57-49.

With the victory, Gretna East upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Fremont (Fremont, NE) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Fremont lost 70-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Millard West (Omaha, NE)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Friday, December 15. Burke will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 93-78 league win over Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE).
