The Mildred Eagles (Corsicana, TX) basketball felled the visiting Caldwell Hornets (Caldwell, TX), 56-40 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Eagles now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edgewood for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Mildred will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 57-43 non-league loss to Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-5.
The Hornets (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lexington (Lexington, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Lexington ran past Round Rock Christian Academy (Round Rock, TX), 52-38, in a non-league contest.
