The Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA), 71-59 in Saturday's league test.
The Cougars (5-0) will now prepare for their test against Dougherty (Albany, GA). The Trojans go into the non-league test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Dougherty notched a victory over Hapeville Charter (Atlanta, GA), 66-38, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Early County for a A D2 Region 1 test on Tuesday, December 12. Mitchell County will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 63-45 league win over Quitman County (Georgetown, GA). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-3.
