Southland Eagles (Southland, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Dawson Dragons (Welch, TX), 54-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southland upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Eagles travel to Christ the King Cathedral (Lubbock, TX) to clash with the Golden Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Golden Lions go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Christ the King Cathedral lost 53-52 in their recent non-league bout against Holy Cross Academy (Amarillo, TX)

Next up, the Dragons clash with the Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Dawson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record.
